Hummus is a traditional Middle Eastern food and popular in the US and England although it is not yet well known in Japan. It’s a paste consisting of chickpeas, olive oil and garlic with a few additional ingredients. You then spread the mixture on pita breat (another traditional Middle Eastern food) and eat. If you want to have delicious Peking Duck at a reasonable price in New York City, I recommend Peking Duck House located in Midtown East and Chinatown. http://www.pekingduckhousenyc.com/ I normally go to their original restaurant in Chinatown which was remodeled a few years ago and has a very nice interior for a restaurant in Chinatown. The chef will show you your duck first and then expertly cut it table side and serve it to you. Other dishes are good as well.
